How It Fits + How It Feels

Because a fabric label only tells you part of the story.

At La Tierra Tiendita, we want you to know what to expect before your order ever arrives.

For the garments we choose, we look beyond the photo and pay attention to the things that actually matter when you put something on:

Fit
Does it run fitted, relaxed, oversized or somewhere in between?

Stretch
Does it have no give, a little stretch, or enough stretch to move comfortably with you?

Feel
Is it soft, structured, lightweight, smooth, ribbed, flowy or more substantial?

Fabric
We’ll tell you what it’s made of and, more importantly, what that fabric means when you wear it.

Coverage
We’ll note when a piece is opaque, slightly sheer or may need an extra layer underneath.

What to Expect

Not all polyester feels the same. Not all denim stretches the same. And seeing “5% spandex” on a label doesn’t always tell you how a garment is actually going to fit.

That’s why we try to give you the full picture.

You may see notes like:

Structured denim with a little give
Soft and drapey with comfortable stretch
Lightweight with a relaxed fit
Fitted with minimal stretch
Flowy through the body with no fabric stretch

Our goal is simple:

Less guessing. Fewer surprises. More confidence in what you’re ordering.

A Little Note About Sizing

Bodies are different, and so are garments.

When we have enough information to confidently say something runs true to size, we’ll tell you. If a piece is more fitted, relaxed, oversized or has very little stretch, we’ll tell you that too.

We always recommend checking the garment measurements when available, especially if you’re between sizes.

Because around here, we’d rather give you the real information than tell you what sounds good.

Come as you are. We’ll help with the rest.
